Arthur Cola was born in Chicago in the “little Italy” neighborhood of Taylor St. on the near west side of the city. His family moved to Oak Park, IL where he attended Oak Park-River Forest High School. While attending Loyola University, Chicago, he met his future wife, Donna Shields. Together they have five now grown children and seven grandchildren. He, his wife and family now live in Wisconsin.
He received his Education degree from Loyola University, Chicago. He retired after 35 years as a Teacher of History and a School Principal. Upon receiving his Master’s Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, he also served as a Lecturer for Barry University in Florida. His post graduate work concentrated on Educational administration and theology. He studied in Rome at the Loyola University Campus while conducting research for two of his novels, “The Stone Cutter Genius” and “The Brooch” and traveled extensively in Ireland and Britain researching cultural sites for his previous books and new series: The Doonagore Theft Trilogy.” This adventure series traces the lives of two lads and a lass who come to America from famine ravaged Ireland. His novel, “Stolen Christmas” is a magical tale of St. Nicholas coming to help a boy who is trying to save a Church in Chicago which is scheduled to be demolished on the day after Christmas. He has recently created a theatrical version of it.

The first three books of my De Cenza Murder Mystery books will be out in Fall of 2020. These are adventures of Ron De Cenza and Bob Wentz as they try to solve mysteries, go on quests and find murder in their way.

Murder in the Vatican: The crime solving duo are joined by Ron’s sister and the girl from Georgia in a caper which involves theft of Vatican Treasures, plot to overthrow governments, blackmail and murder.
Murder in Mellifont: On Holiday in Ireland, the lads and lasses find a dead body and a legend of the Ancient Nuatha which leads them on a quest to find a murderer.
Murder on Capri: What begins as a holiday on the romantic Isle of Capri becomes a nightmare when Ron De Cenza, his best pal Bob Wentz and his girlfriend Susan Liguri find the naked body of a dead man in the famous Blue Grotto. They along with their friends soon find themselves involved in a mystery revolving around the legend of Joseph Bonaparte once the King of Spain and King of Naples and Sicily in the 19th Century.
